AGKSoft calls its product Back Office Software and Point Of Sale Software for convenience stores, and its feature list is long: gas sale and load with pool margin and tank level tracking, salesroom and inventory control, vendor invoices with EDI, lottery scratch tickets through settlements, payroll for all fifty states, and a general ledger. It also has a system requirement that decides most of this comparison for you. AGKSoft lists any PC or laptop running Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11, with 100 GB of free disk space and 8 GB of RAM. Neo Office was built the other way round: a browser, a phone, and one small connector app in the store.
The back office comes off the office PC
AGKSoft publishes Windows system requirements for the machine it runs on. Neo Office keeps only the Neo connector app in the store, on the back-office PC you already have. Everything you work in is a browser tab or the Neo Backoffice app, so pricing fuel or approving an invoice does not mean driving to the store.
The price is on the page
AGKSoft does not publish a price; its purchase page routes you to the company. Neo Office lists $29.99 for Regular and $49.99 for Plus per location per month, month to month with no contract and a 30-day money-back guarantee, and quotes Enterprise per group of stores.
A phone in the aisle
Neo Office's iOS app is the same product as the web app: scan a Scan code into the price book from the aisle, send the change to the register, approve an invoice, watch Inside sales and Fuel on the dashboard. AGKSoft does not publish an owner phone app for its back office.
